Fostered in Holly Springs, NC Hi! My name is Mozart. I am a 5 year old Lhasa Apso who was rescued from an animal shelter where I was picked up as a stray. I have had a very hard time in the last year of my life, but I am not letting it get me down! When I was rescued from the shelter, I had lots of matts in my fur and lost the rest of it due to a severe flea infestation, but don't let my temporarily rough appearance fool you. I am one sweet and happy little boy. I love to ride in the car and walk on a leash. I am also house-trained, crate-trained and really like other dogs, big and small. If you talk to me, I will often talk back to you. The volunteer that rescued me from the shelter named me Mozart because she could see that even though I had been having a terrible time in the wild, I really am quite an intelligent and regal fellow. It will take me several months to return to my fully handsome self, but if you understand that I just need a little TLC, I would love be be your life companion right away. Please consider giving me the forever home that I need and deserve
