Even though the other dogs in his foster home outweigh him by 20 lbs and stand 7-8 inches taller than he does, that does not stop him from wrestling with them or running after them like a little brother who refuses to be left behind.His unstoppable spirit was evident from day one. When his foster mom found him at a local animal control facility, he was huddled in the corner of his metal cage, too scared to eat or get a drink of water. All of his hair was missing and his skin was red and irritated. Fleas and ticks covered his body and his foster mom could count all of his ribs from across the room. She and the staff at the vet clinic were sure he would not live through the night, but after a warm bath and a quite kennel with a soft bed, Henley gave a tentative little wag of his tail. That was two and half months ago and he has not looked back.
