Terrier - Medium - Young - Female - Dog - Nicole

Nicole came to the shelter in August, 2009 with one tiny puppy in tow. We are not sure of her story. She and her baby were probably abandoned and thrown away on the side of the road to become someone elses problem like so many other neglected animals we see. She is a delight and has a great attitude. She is always happy and enjoys playing with other animals. She is young, about 1 year old when she came in. She is very friendly and gets along with adults, kids and other animals. She likes to play tug of war and wrestle with another dog. Nicole is medium sized, probably about 35-40 pounds. She is very loving. But like so many other black dogs and cats, she may never get adopted. Black dogs and cats are the least adopted colored animals at shelters and pounds. They do not show well in poor shelter lighting and also fade into the woodwork when compared to more colorful breeds with more unique stripes or spots. Do something wonderful today for the universe and consider a black dog or cat adoption!
