Jack Russell Terrier - Medium - Adult - Male - Dog - Wythe

Wythe is about five years old, and is very loving. He does have trouble with same-sex agression, so he would need to be in a home with only female dogs. Also, he has a strong personality and a high prey drive, so small children and small pets such as rabbits, cats, ferrets, etc, would likely be in danger. Wythe (pronounced "with") can be very shy with people he doesn't know, especially men, but he is very sweet and loving when he gets to know you. He enjoys long walks, playing fetch with a ball or frisbee, pushing a soccer ball around with his nose (be warned: he'll expect you to play soccer with him!), and snuggling. Since he has lived in a kennel since he came to us, he has not been housetrained. However, he is used to traveling and eating in a crate, so crate training would be a good way to start the housetraining process. Wythe would be a wonderful companion for an older child (12 and up) or a young adult/couple who is looking for a faithful companion. He is an alpha male, so obedience classes would help to understand his place in his new pack.
