Hello!

I am looking for female volunteers who would like to receive non-sexual sports massage sessions in a regular basis at no cost. We can meet at the Chiropractic Wellness Studio in Morrisville or we can meet in another place (I have a portable massage table). My preferred hours are in the evenings after 4:30 pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, or on Saturdays (morning and afternoon).

Why am I making this offer? I have a some regular clients who are female athletes and who want a more specialized massage after their sport events (running, bicycling, swimming) and I need to review and practice some of the massage techniques that are more appropriate for athletic folks and I do not want to practice with them and charge them money meanwhile I am still learning/improving these techniques. Also, I am looking to receive feedback from the receiver in order for me to improve my skills and I have found that women are usually more willing to offer feedback and suggestions for improvement, and men are usually more quite and reserved.

Overall, my regular clientele wants relaxation and therapeutic techniques and I do not have often the opportunity to practice the sports related massage techniques, which involve active participation from the receiver. For example, one of the best ways to address sore muscles after a sports event or to rehabilitate a tired/injured muscle is to perform massage on loaded muscles by doing an "eccentric" contraction, during which the receiver tries to contract the muscle with around 10% of normal strength and then the therapist (me) will gently oppose that contraction by stretching the muscle.
